I got this app for one purpose. To restore the warning when 10% of the battery is remaining now that Im on Mountain Lion. It failed to do that. I deleted the app.

I love that its a menubar app, no window or anything to get in your way. I only needed this app to see how well my battery has been holding up after 2 years of use. Thanks for a nice and simple app!
gets the job done
Just enough info, no BS and fixes the Mtn Lion "no time left" issue. < Apple - bring the time left back! Support these guys by looking into the other apps they offer!
It does what it advertises to do, so I cant complain. I would love to have the option to show time and percentage, though.
This app rocks! I dont know about the current max though… My almost brand new macbookpro shows a lost of a few hundred mAH.
Ive tried a few battery apps. I prefer this one for its interface. The battery information is in a drop down menu from the menu bar (as opposed to a new window like in some other apps). One can also set the menubars display settings to state percentage of battery left, or time left on battery. I would appreciate an update that enables one to remove the icon, and just display the time left / percentage charged.
Very useful, simple, and convinietly located at the bar at the top of the Screen. Does exactly what it supposed to and never has issues. I recommened this to all Mac users.
Some are reporting that this shows time remaining for the battery in the menu bar. One reviewer was thrilled that it brought that back in Mountain Lion. Well, in ML, if you click on the battery item in the menu bar, youll see the time remaining. What I, and others, are looking for is something that shows the time IN THE menu bar, much as it did in Snow Leopard. This doesnt seem to do that at all. Plus, it was off-putting to have an ad for Disk Cleaner when opening it the first time. Oh, well. Onto other battery programs… I want to be fair, however, and have raised this a star. It does give you quick access to the buried power system information about ones battery-- original capacity, current charge, maximum charge, etc. Its convenient for that, but as thats something I rarely need, I just get it from the Apple menu and go into About this Mac.
Its a very nice and simple app for displaying info about your battery. I just wish it supports Retina display.
I have noticed that my movies dont play smoothly when this app is running. If I quit the app they run fine. Meh, I am always having to quit it so Ill probably just delete it because its too high maintenance.
Just installed this and doesnt seem to work with OS X 10.9 Nothing shows up in the tool bar/status bar at the top, just a blank icon. Hopefully they get this fixed because its exactly what I was hoping to find on the app store.
All the other menu app type battery monitors failed me because none of them work unless you have a 64-bit processor and my MacBook is the original that only sports 32-bit Intel... So this only single choice is not only the only battery app that will work on Macs like this, but it happens to be a good, useful program...
Battery Guard does what it says it does! It’s quite simple and offers a bunch of information. Well done.
Extremely useful and only one tenth of a megabyte. Brilliant. Definantly download
Installed this app to replace Coconut Battery, but learned quickly there is a 5 to 10% difference with the battery charge as reported in the preference pane. seems the app is unable to display actual system charge --> Uninstalled.
Not accurate at all. With just one google chrome tab on, the time remaining flucuates from 26 hours, to 32 hours, to 19 hours, to 14 hours by itself. I can’t keep it as a reliable app if it doesn’t even stay at a time with me not changing brightness or using more/less applications.
I bought a new battery for 4s iPhone - the new battery was not recognized -
This app is ok, but I’ve noticed my computers max power is going down, and I would like to know how to keep it at the same level
I searched a lot before getting this one and it is simple but easy to use, compact but easy to set up, graphically clean and concise but not overly so, inexpensive as they get, performs what you ask for but not a big menu, has versatile settings but not enough to confuse. SO…. I recommend it to any and all. THanks Battery Guard for an affordable and well designed app!!!!!
